Thurs. 8th November 2018
Postal Museum Visit and ‘Ride Mail Rail’ - Organised by Tony Warran.

The plan is to pay a visit to the postal museum and then to take a ride on the Mail Rail and experience 15 minutes of immersive underground exploration. There’s even a surprise or two they say.

The train runs underground (6 1?2 miles) from Paddington to Whitechapel serving the main sorting offices along the route. The reason it was built was because road traffic congestion was causing unacceptable delays.

For parties of 8 or over the cost will be £13.50 per person. - At present we have 9 on the list which will get us the reduced rate of £13.50.

It is open everyday 10.00 – 17.00 and the last ride departs at approximately 16.30.

If you have not already booked and would like to come, will you let Tony know and he will add you to the list. - Tony will make a firm booking in early October and there will be a list at the club each week until then.

Travel details etc to be advised closer to the date.
